Every year thousands of industrial and pre war buildings are demolished to make way for new housing estates and for new industrial and retail projects and although the reclaimed brick market is on the increase sadly many of those bricks which are reusable end up being crushed for rubble and put to landfill.
When selecting our products we here at brickslips.co.uk attach importance to the way something is made and how this impacts our environment.
One of our most popular brickslips is our range of reclaimed brickslips, some being over a century old and recycled from bricks laid by our grandfathers they offer a real sense of history and in a modern day world where we endeavor to recycle as much as possible the attraction is endless.
These bricks are reborn from a bygone age and offer a unique weathering that unfortunately no modern product can provide. All of the slips are unique, antiqued by time itself and with little risk of brick duplication they are the real McCoy.
As an industry leader in our processes of manufacture and brick cutting we take every precaution in ensuring that these bricks are treated with the respect and care needed.
Our reclaimed brickslips are cut in small batches and are often cut by hand just to ensure that they are not damaged and that they remain true to what they are.
With these brickslips being reclaimed we hand check every slip to ensure that there are no nails or foreign objects within the brick that could otherwise impede the installation of the product or cause harm.
As most reclaimed bricks come from an era where multimillion pound moulding machines and precision products were in the minority these bricks can vary somewhat in size and appearance. This only amplifies their appeal and has been one of the key selling points of this product.
In high demand and a completely bespoke product you will be the envy of any interior critic when you install these brickslips on your project.
