Welcome to Ask Andy, the go to place for those questions that you might need the answers too. This month top questions are featured below, Enjoy.
1: Your brick slips are just brick effect tiles, right?
Nope… We are the UK’s Leading manufacturer of brick slips and the countries number one brand.
All of our brick slips are expertly cut from real authentic handmade bricks and reclaimed bricks.
Our buyers ensure that every brick that we source and buy is of exceptional quality and suitable for cutting.
Our processing facility is designed to ensure a great amount of care and attention is made when cutting these bricks. There are no concrete moulds or resin extrusions here only real brick slips.
These brick slips are the real deal! FACT
2: Are brick slips cut from reclaimed bricks ok for internal feature walls?
Absolutely! We make sure that every reclaimed brick that we source is of sound quality and capable of withstanding the harsh process of cutting.
As with any reclaimed product there will be size differences and aesthetical anomalies. These are all the qualities which make this particular brick type such a sought after product.
A modern manufactured can get close to a reclaimed but not quite meet the mark as life its self ages every brick in a different unique way.
All of our brick slips are suitable for either internal or external wall cladding.
3: There are other tools which I need for my installation which are not on your site can I still order these from you?
We try to offer our customers clarity by keeping the range of accessories we offer to a minimum. All the essentials which you would need to install your brick slips are offered on the website.
There are occasions where our customers require different or more specialised tools.
If you require something which is not listed under the accessories page then please give us a call as it may be something we can assist you with.
Alternatively you could try your local b&q or tradepoint.
4: Do you offer brick slips cut from engineering brick?
Yes we do! Our smooth red brick slips are a purpose cut brick slip which will match in with most 65mm red engineering bricks.
Colour and clay matching is always necessary when matching engineering bricks so we advise you order a sample prior to ordering just to be sure.

Hello, we’ve recently purchased brick slips from you to use in our kitchen (London weathered), they look fantastic, we’re really pleased with the look. However, I’m now concerned about the grease and grime that will naturally collect into the brick, being in the kitchen. I am going to get a glass splashback for wall above the cooker. I read your article on cleaning the walls with detergent and salt, but I wasn’t sure about the cloth/sponge thing as the bricks are rough and wondered how this works? Also if I seal with your matt sealant, how does this help with cleaning?
Many thanks
Hi Sue, Great to here! We love London Wethered Yellow Brick Slips, it’s a personal favourite of ours. You can indeed install a glass splash that this would prevent grease and be super easy to clean. It depends on the area covered, if you’re doing a small area, a hard sponge will be ok, however i personally prefer a light soft brush to work in the mild derugent, Remeber a soft sponge will break down and leave bits of sponge on the brick slip face, however a soft brush (even a paint brush) won’t. I hope that helps.
Do you have any slips with a size of 210 x 58 (ish) x 15 in a reddish colour ?
Hi Darren, We generally only do the industry standard sizes I’m afraid.
210mm x 65mm x 20mm
210mm x 50mm x 20mm
