The Grand Designs Show springs into action every autumn turning the NEC Birmingham into a designers paradise, the five day event is the UK’s primary destination for designers, self builders and budding DIY minded folk.
Day five and the final day of this colossal show saw record numbers of visitors and a triumphant turn out.
New-builds, renovating period properties, extensions to current homes, the Grand Build section brought the brick slips team plenty of interest throughout the day.
With over thirty different real brick slips showcased on our display, keeping up with brochure replenishment became a minute by minute activity, as the crowds marvelled with a childlike wonder.
Each day at Grand Designs brought us a different item of greater popularity, and day five the star product award goes to our Atom Grey Brick Slips, and enquiry after enquiry came for this stunning product.
The Atom Grey brick slip was new addition for 2017, its Luna type texture positions the Atom Grey nicely in our range as a moody and subtle modern brick.
Uses within offices and commercial environments are amongst the more popular settings for this product, and as interest on day five increased it certainly a solid front runner in the brick slip race. Received and acclaimed by our clientele, its modern monochrome aesthetic has proven to be quite popular with the interior designers walking the halls.
Atom Grey brick slips aside, the general conversations which our team had were centred around the uses and processes of brick slip installation, all of which gave our team the perfect chance to Educate, Educate, Educate.
As the show drew to a close there was a great sense of achievement from our team and everyone else exhibiting at the Grand Design NEC, events like this are a marathon for everyone involved and it takes a great solid team effort all round to make these kinds of events come together.
