Day 5 at Grand Designs Live brought us many new faces and many well know faces.
It must have been celebrity special today at Grand Designs Live. As well as Kevin McCloud and the wonderfully inspirational Grand designers. We had not one, not two but three special celebs visit our stand. All taking time out of their busy schedules to discus our products as a leading brick slip supplier.
Officially off-course we wont be naming them, but we are sure if you were in attendance you probably saw their faces.
Our brand and our products have gained a world wide name over the last few years. As a result of our own industry fame more and more designers are requesting our products, as the UK`s leading brick slip supplier.
A great amount of praise and feedback was received on Day 5, to the teams delight.
“your products are a different class” “I have seen your brick slips everywhere” “can I order now!”
Comments like these are the reason we have such a great brand and reputation.
A great day for discussion.
A number of features today revolved around green credentials, pollution and recycling.
Our guys representing brick slips made an effort to attend these important events during the day, as this is a subject close to our companies ethos.
How the UK’s leading brick slip supplier recycles!
As a company we produce tonnes of excess pallet wood waste each year, comprising of single use timber pallets.
These pallets are not able to be reused within industry, and until recently have been very difficult to dispose of in a sustainable way.
As mentioned by many of the experts here at the show, improvements in technology are paramount.
Recycling a product that can be reused within building and energy supply is now achievable with ease. Along side biomass and chipwood our waste timber is now being reused for a whole host of exciting grand projects.
The efficiencies in recycling mean that as a company we are now able to recycle 100% of our waste pallet wood.
A fantastic achievement.

Kevin talked today with some of his Green team, companies and individuals that are leading the way in innovative recycling methods.

Recyclable cardboard Packaging
Here at brickslips.co.uk we strive to be a green as we possibly can. As part of our green team initiative we pride ourselves in our dedication to sustainability.
Sustainably Sourced Packaging is a critical element to our success. Our packaging ensures that all of our products reach our customers safe and securely.
All of our brick slips are packaged with corrugated cardboard, corrugated card is one of the most recycled materials available. That means that both our brick slip boxes and our sample cardboard uses only materials from sustainable sources.
The cardboard we source is made from at least 90% recycled fibres and no less than 100% of the product can be recycled again, which is a fantastic point which our team have been getting across this week at Grand Designs Live.
