Super strength engineering brick is used for its force rather than a facing brick which is used for its colour and texture. These bricks come in either blue or red.
There are 2 different types or ‘classes’.
- Class A have a compression strength greater than 125N/mm² and water absorption of less than 4.5%.
- Conversely Class B have a compression strength greater than 75N/mm² and water absorption of less than 7%.
What are they used for?
Mainly used in civil engineering works. In other words, where strength is required over aesthetics. For example, retaining walls, sewers, and ground-works.
Engineered brickslip
Use an engineering brick in a brickslip format. This brickslip offers many advantages. Firstly, benefit from a super strong brick, ideal for outside use, with a F2 frost resistance, it is extremely durable. Similarly, it is perfect for interior use. With a smooth surface, it is an easy to paint. In conclusion, this brickslips offers excellent value for money and very versatile usage.
