After a successful one day build up, our team at brickslips have had a fantastic first day at this years Grand Designs Exhibition at Birmingham’s NEC.
Arriving an hour before showtime the brickslips team used the time to do a spot of last min cleaning and tidying prior to the official opening, giving our great range of brick slips one last spruce.
The show started at 10am when the crowds were lead through the famous cloaked tunnel, and like contestants playing a game show the excitement and anticipation was great to see.
All visitors are directed to the central island where they can select a number of different zones to which they would like to venture.
Reminiscent of 1990s crystal maze, the build up was extremely theatrical and was a lot of fun. It didn’t take long for the shows guests to start flooding the isles of the show.
Our first day saw the team stretched with interest and furnished with some great enquiries, from a varied palette of clientele.
The day also gave us chance to meet and greet some of our existing and loyal customers. Following our success at this years 100% Design Show at London’s Olympia the show had some big shoes to fill.
Having given a sneak preview to some of our new up and coming products at the 100% Design show our team continued to champion the new range and have had a positive reaction from the crowds here at Grand Designs (UK construction week).
From the offset it was clear that there was a great deal of interest in our products and in our business which gave us inspired confidence as this was only day one.
The quality of Show and the exhibitors is particularly encouraging, with some very well thought out displays and showpieces.
