A rich recreation and simulation of 200 years of aging has resulted in our Belgravia Brick slips becoming an extremely popular new kid on the block.
The Belgravia brick slip has the appearance of a true London brick. With an accurate recreation of an Original weathered London stock brick. This product has the look of being magically aged by time itself.
After the mass devastation that was left behind from the great fire of London, a set of new laws were drafted which stipulated that all new housing within London was to be built from either brick or stone.
As a result of this new mandate large areas of Georgian London were developed using bricks made from London clay.

London Clay is unique to the Thames valley area and is only found along its estuary and basin.
The clay is primarily made from marine sediment dating back some 45 million years, back in the days when London was a tropical paradise.
The Georgians made use of this clay to great extent and built some of London’s most iconic areas and buildings using this brick.
The brick was still in mass use all the way through to the Victorian times when cheap local building materials were in large demand for the ever growing industrial city.
Our Belgravia brick slips have been created and cut from handmade Original yellow stock bricks.
The manufacturing process which transforms these bricks into the aged ones that we know so well involves a certain amount of science and time. Inconsistencies, miss shapes and random colourings are all present within this brick type.
Historically the way the bricks were manufactured involved a clamping method in coal of log lit kilns, this method meant that ash and debris would fire into the face of the brick.
This method has been recreated with our handmade Belgravia brick slips. The dark and burnt bricks within this products variance all go to substantiate its place as a formidable recreation of a classic.
