So you’ve done the hard bit, you’ve chosen your slips, but now, how do you lay them to create that extra special pizazz in a room? Bespoke patterns are on trend for 2022.
Use our handy guide to give you an idea of the different styles of brick slip laying patterns you could achieve.
Horizontal and Vertical Stackbonds
Using brick slips stacked directly on top of each other in either a horizontal or vertical format to create that classic underground look.
Horizontal laying widens a room allowing the eye to be draw across the area. Vertical stacking lengthens an area, perfect for smaller rooms
Half offset
A classic brickwork method, staggering the pattern by offsetting each slip by the width of half a slip. This pattern adds perceived texture and interest to walls, and can be varied in patterns using half widths and rows of different colours and finishes.
Herringbone and Double Herringbone
Herringbone patterns are not just for flooring. This fun yet sophisticated zig-zag sequence pattern still emerges as one of the newest styles for installation. A fun pattern to work with, creating an illusion of space
Basket Weave
This arrangement uses rectangular brick tiles, and is very visually engaging. This bespoke bond adds a great feature.
Opting to use any pattern really does add a burst of personality to a room or feature wall.
Why not finish off your wall with a burst of lighting using customised neon signs.
