Are your tiles brick?
If you have time to read through the vast library of articles written on our website then I am sure you would find the answer. Many pages of useful and informative industry knowledge have been written for the comfort of our customers and the wider world of the web.
We only use real clay bricks in our production of brick slips.
Selected reclaimed and handmade bricks are cut down to create our wonderful brick slip tiles.
So why the confusion?
Confusion comes because there are that many different types of tiles available in the world and not all are the same as ours.
Passing the test!
When installed correctly our products will be indistinguishable from a full brick built wall. The fact that we cut our product from real bricks means that there is 100% authenticity in its appearance.
We want people to believe our product is a real full brick. The fact that so many people don`t know what real brick slips are is a testament to the fact that they are so believable.
Corners are key
We cannot stress enough how important corners are when recreating a 90 degree change in the wall. Our brick slips should never be butt jointed. The reason for this is that the illusion of what brick slips are meant to achieve is instantly broken. Where the eye sees the brick go round a corner the brain automatically interprets what it knows and fills in the blanks. You believe it is real because it is!
When are stretcher reveals needed?
Another key product is our stretcher reveals. If you are planning to continue a course above a window or door, where the underside is exposed. Then stretcher reveals are certainly going to be needed. For the same reason as our corner slips, they enhance the illusion and make the installation look as authentic as possible.
Where can I see brick slips in situ?
One of the biggest markets for our real brick cladding is retail and leisure. Many pubs, restaurants and high street branded stores contain our products. You probably didn’t notice as they look just like the real thing.
Chanel, Timberland, TGI Fridays and Costa coffee have all used our products within the interiors and exteriors of their fit outs.
