What are rustic brick slips?
Brick slips are real bricks that are cut into tile format, with a thickness of either 20mm or less in some ranges. Our unique range of rustic brick slips have rumbled edges, surface ageing and irregularities which makes them perfect for an authentic reclaimed rustic look.
In particular, they are perfect for highly textured feature walls. For this reason, they are one of the most popular brick slips choices within our range.
How can they be used?
Brickslips are used like tiles, to create a feature or even externally, on houses, sheds, garages alike. Unlike porcelain tiles, rustic brick slips are tumbled and weathered. Differing from standard screen printed tiles.
Indeed, the application is like a tile. With use of our rapid set adhesive, you can apply the slips directly to the substrate, and choose from a range of gun injectable mortars for the jointing work. The overall appearance is unique!
Rustic brickslips
Inspired by naturally aged brickwork, the brick slips within the Rustic Collection create the perfect exposed brick wall. This collection offers up unique patina and charm.
With this in mind, no two projects will be alike, as the brick slips are individual and vary from batch to batch. Brilliant buffs, rosy reds and sun kissed yellows all feature within the Rustic Collection
Used within modern and olde worlde properties alike, they adopt any style. In fact, the range is the most popular and can be enhanced with accessories and room decor.
Handy tips:
- Vary the style of your project by using a different mortar. Mortars can change the look of the brick. As a result, lighter mortars make the brick tones stand out and offer a more modern look. On the other hand, darker mortars attract a more traditional setting.
- Use different laying patterns. Not all projects need to look the same. Our guide to laying bonds will help create a unique and bespoke look. Herringbone is our favourite!
