You have received your fantastic brick slip delivery and all your products are safe and sound in excellent condition. The safe transit of your order was all thanks to the pallet service and the pallet which the goods came on. You are now wondering how to dispose of your pallet?
Pallet Network Delivery
So that we can deliver thousands of orders every week safely to our customers we use a pallet delivery service.
Without using a pallet service large deliveries of brick slips would be at risk of damages during transportation. A pallet delivery service offers much more security and stability than a parcel service and is widely used within the tiling industry.
Every order that leaves us on the network goes out on a wooden pallet. This is part of the packaging of the order and once you have unpacked your order you have a number of options as to what to do with it.
Recycle
As the pallets are made from wood most Household recycling centres are happy to dispose of the pallets. By doing this you are lowering the carbon footprint and allowing the material to be recycled into something different.
Free to collect
Pallets are constantly in demand especially from hobby DIY enthusiasts. A pallet is a fantastic source of free timber and can be re used in a multitude of ways.
A great tip here would be to post the pallet on your local social media marketplace Free to a good home. Your pallet will be collected in no time and you can relax in the comforting notion that you have helped another person out.
Sell your pallet
If you are not into giving things away for free then you can always sell your pallet. If the timber is in good condition and the pallet is reusable then you will have no problem in selling your pallet online. Pallets are always in high demand so the chance of it occupying your front garden for a long time are very slim.
Upcycle the pallet
Make something, do some youtube delving and see what can be made from pallets. There are hundreds of part time pallet convertors online making all sorts of various items and pieces of furniture. Why cant you?
Wine racks, benches, tables, candle holders and much more. You could make it a family fun activity and turn your pallet into something new.
Ask the driver
If it is only a small order and none of the above float your boat you can always ask the delivery driver. Many network depots will take pallets back upon request. This is discretional and is down to the driver delivering. Always worth asking though!
Final Thought
We should all be conscious of recycling, the timber within a pallet is extremely useful so we would always advise trying to recycle, upcycle your pallet after delivery.
