Residential Kitchen – Pontefract, UK
Olde Bayswater Brick slips strike again!
Until recent years, exposed brick work wasn’t something that was commonly seen in the British kitchen. The minimalist and often cold styles of the late 80s and 90s didn’t give much room for natural and traditional looking materials. Lucky for us design tastes evolved and styles marrying traditional and contemporary are in, and it seems they are here to stay.
If you’re not sure about adorning your kitchen walls with the look please do not be afraid. Brick cladding in a Kitchen actually becomes a great asset in helping to create a cozy and inviting space.
If you feel the brick slip bug coming on then take a look at this brilliant case study from one of our Private Customers.
You might think that exposed bricks are only best for traditional, country kitchens. However, even if you have a modern kitchen, you can bring in the brick slip cladding with a beautiful backsplash feature wall. The designer of this stunning Kitchen saw brick slips as a perfect way of having an exposed brick wall in their kitchen.
The wonderfully designed kitchen works in tandem with the rustic exposed brick slip feature wall. The whole space has been created to emit an atmospheric feel which unifies tradition with a modernist feel.
Vibrant blue cabinets brighten up this kitchen and serve as a bold contrast to the exposed brick. The contrast with the white kitchen worktops is both inspired and striking.
Olde Bayswater Blend was the brick cladding choice for this great kitchen. As a brick product it works well with all colour styles and kitchen themes. This particular brick slip is an excellent choice when combining style, functionality and creating an iconic British feel.
The beauty of a red brick like Bayswater is that it can add warmth and rustic charm to a kitchen.
The customer chose the Olde Bayswater due to its rustic and worn appearance, this aesthetic has proven popular over recent years and is the perfect alternative to boring standard kitchen tiles.
This is a brilliant example of using a simple one wall feature to accentuate a working space. Our customers have done a great job of combining textures and colours to great effect.
