As one of the most shared content providers on the net, Playbuzz are no strangers to featuring online in some form or another. Here we take a look at their Kensington offices which feature one of our favourite brick slips Olde Bayswater Blend.
Design
More and more work places are beginning to accept that the environment we exist in affects our productivity and ability to flourish.
Designers are now creating work environments that cater for the needs of its people; encouraging collaboration and harnessing talent can all be improved by our workplace decor and design.
This brilliant case study is a fine example of how our Olde Bayswater brick slips can lift and add textures to a working area whilst remaining modern and contemporary.
Making ‘fun’ tangible especially within a modern working office calls for a space where ideas and thoughts can germinate. This large office suite hails directly to the function of facilitating such creative prowess.
This large office offers space and light ambiance, the large brick slip feature walls which dominate, bring a direct earthy feel and takes away any harshness that would be present in its absence.
Product
For authenticity and character there are very few products that can match the individual balanced appeal that our Olde Bayswater Brick slips offer. Handmade and full of history these beautifully crafted pieces of clay have ample character and authenticity.
Harbouring a unique weathered texture and warm tones our Olde Bayswater Blend have proven the perfect choice for this Kensington project.
The installers used a rapid setting adhesive to fix the brick slips to the wall surface and pointed the brick slips with our gun injected pointing mortar.
On projects as large as this it is always advisable that gun injected mortar is used, this is for a number of reasons including speed and appearance.
Result
A great project with a great look and feel, rarely do we see such modern facilities morph so fluidly with handmade brick slips.
This is a triumphant installation that accurately reflects the culture and brand of Playbuzz.
This is a company that is passionate about content, and has shown the same passion throughout their new office space.
