Herringbone Brick slip Case Study Special
Herringbone has long been a favourite pattern for use in block paving and wooden flooring. Sadly it is rarely used nowadays for brick bonding. This is a sad fact because when you see the results it makes an amazing feature.
The Herringbone pattern in brickwork gives a lot of visual energy to a space. Choosing patterns and placement is a challenging, yet fun aspect of creating a great looking design.
On this project, our customer inspirationally chose herringbone pattern for the feature wall in this stunning modern bathroom.
The zigzag pattern of herringbone creates a formal, sleek, and timeless style. The pattern is extremely eye-catching and gives a more up-market and grand appeal.
Design
The design of this space is refreshing and really well appointed. The choice of materials in the interior bathroom space combines bold contemporary lines, light and bright utilities, and great open space which expands further with the stylish his and hers large mirrors.
The choice of installing the brick slips in herringbone pattern is one that really does add a whole new dimension to the rooms feeling.
Although the room would look amazing even with a standard brick bond pattern, using the herringbone pattern almost makes the wall look like artwork.
Olde Bayswater Blend brick slips add further character to this fabulous feature wall.
Product
Real clay brick slips were used for the feature wall in this dynamically designed bathroom suite. Achieving this look the Olde Bayswater blend is the perfect brick slip of choice.
Rumbled worn and aged. The Olde Bayswater is a red clay brick type that makes for a perfect exposed brick wall look.
Achieving this look the brick slips are installed using a rapid setting tile adhesive and are pointed using our natural white gun injected pointing mortar.
Our Olde Bayswater Blend brick slips offer ample character and a mix of subtle tones that work brilliantly across a bathroom feature wall.
Result
This Herringbone pattern bathroom case study has been one of the nicest examples of our Olde Bayswater brick slips being used within a residential bathroom.
A high level of design and care that was taken in using our products, allowing them to take the spotlight is a credit to the entire project.
This great project inspires us all and really does showcase how beautiful contemporary bathrooms can be.
