Defined, stylish and full of character our Olde Bayswater Brick Slips have helped create a tranquil ambiance in this stunning bar and grill installation.
Situated in Leeds city center, Cast Iron bar & grill is a restaurant that has plentiful style and modern pzazz. This wonderfully vibrant case study sheds light on the design, product and result.
Design
The concept of this establishment is both contemporary and traditional. The designers have carefully used traditional materials but in new and modern ways. One of the first things that hits you is the spacious nature of the floor space.
European seating and leather bench seating are scattered throughout the floor footprint, allowing customers better access to socialise, interact and connect with each other.
The large open space also gives great privacy and makes for a brilliant intimate environment.
Exposed sight lines and natural light encourage an open and transparent culture. This comes across strongly throughout the building with a home from home feeling.
The quirky almost steampunk palette of colours pays due to the Cast Iron brand. Industrial in colour and texture the whole room sings to the song of social interaction.
A massively important part of this projects design and appeal is the dominating brick work that features throughout. Brick slips have been expertly used to traditionalise a modern design.
Product
Brick slips have been instrumental in creating the identifiable and key tones of the designers vision. Our Olde Bayswater brick slips have been used on a number of key feature walls. These walls which are un-pointed give a unique cobbled texture to the surface. 3D walls are fantastic, as the textures evoke a sense of history and culture.
These brick slips have been expertly installed with precise 10mm spacing’s leaving the wall fully visible through the mortar joint.
As well as brick slips, brick slip corners have been used on the wall edges that continue through a 90 degree angle.
The product sits very well as a canvass for some historically local art and photography. A wonderful example of how brick work can enhance a design to an increased level.
Result
With a searing reflection the detailed use of our Olde Bayswater brick slips in this interior is a reason in its self to head on down and sample the gorgeously delicious grilled delights that Cast Iron Bar & Grill has to offer.
An ideal setting that relaxes its patrons from the word go, and thanks to our brick slips the restaurant will continue to wow the people of Leeds for many years to come.
