This stunning feature home has been exquisitely designed and decorated incorporating the Olde Bayswater brick slips throughout.
Our client has seamlessly used the slips to maximum effect.
Living Room
The key to any brick slip installation is integration, the elegance and softness of the design and execution of this superb room is a frontier.
Soft and light without being too pale, this room could very well be holding its breath until the occupiers return.
The wooden floor compliments the lone brick slip wall that backs one of the walls alcoves. This is a perfect example of how brick slips can draw you in and make you truly believe what you are seeing.
Dressing Room
Continuing the colour theme of the living room this fantastic dressing room that boasts a fantastic use of space and light.
Our Olde Bayswater brick slips with the light grey mortar back three beautifully simple stage mirrors that wouldn’t look out of place in the dressing room of the theatre royal which is located only a few hundred yards away.
Mounted on the wall is a vintage Brighton beach sign that again plays homage to the location of this fantastic property.
The brick slips in this case study have not been sealed but you could obtain the same look without any change in appearance by using our matt brick slip sealer.
Kitchen
A simple modern kitchen with some excellent upgrades, many questions are raised in regards to cladding kitchen walls in brick slips, the fear of splashes and stains getting into and on the surface of the brick slips is always a concern.
In this case study our client has opted for the recommended method of incorporation, by applying the slips to the wall at a safe distance away from the splash and mess areas and using a splash board below the brick line. They have been able to retain the unique natural look of the Olde Bayswater product without having to apply coat after coat of gloss sealant.
Bathroom
The bathroom again features the one feature wall across an internal supporting wall, again giving the occupants a convincing brick wall appearance.
This wall has also incorporated our Olde Bayswater corner slips which allow the wall to crawl round to the adjoining alcove without little fuss.
As the brick slips are solid and applied with a leading adhesive, using a diamond drill bit the installers were able to fix the mirror and basin to the wall with ease and confidently.
Result
This case study has been one of the finest examples of our Olde Bayswater brick slips being used within a residential property.
The design and care that was taken in using our products, both allowing them to be unassuming and also giving them a certain spotlight is a credit to the entire project.
A project that inspires us all and really does make you want to lose yourself and paddle your feet in the waters of Brighton on a warm summers day.
