Coast to Coast – Ipswich, UK
Our London Weathered Yellow Brick Slip empowers this refreshing & comforting suprise.
Coast to coast restaurant have recently discovered that our London Weathered yellow brick slips are not just limited to a British styled surrounding.
American Diners have consistently been symbols of American optimism and our London Weathered yellow brick slips have certainly helped to bring realism to the design of the newly opened Coast to Coast Diner restaurant in Ipswich.
As with many of the current multi million pound chains and themed eateries apart from the chefs menu efforts in design originality and unique product selection are what makes any new install become
a successful dining experience.
The designers of this magnificent eatery have outshone their talents in capturing the spirit of a rich upmarket American Diner.
Inspired by the usual Americana eccentricities Coast to coast is a resplendent three dimensional heaven for the senses.
Rather than the tongue in cheek venues that most Diners embody this design is a refreshing and comforting surprise.
Red brick and reclaimed brick slips are usually the brick slip of choice within restaurant installations.
The use of yellow brick slips within the decor and attention to detail that the installation has been given is refreshing and new.
The incorporation and use of our brick slips radiates a warm and light essence that blends perfectly with the wooden fixtures and splashes of royal regal colours.
Pillars clad with our very own London weathered yellow brick slips meander across almost every eye line.
The designers would not be able to boast an American Diner without the cliché checkerboard floor and a random littering of memorabilia and Americana.
Rather than cheap and cheerful, these elements have been designed and executed with style and quality.
Every where you look you can see a painted canvas of raw brick work that acts like a binder bringing all these glorious elements together.
As usual in most diners, the sparkle and complexity of the bar is a key feature, and coast to coast have succeeded in locating this bar centrally within the working space.
The radiant and warm colourings of the London weathered yellow brick cladding works harmoniously with this glorious installation.
The installers have used a selection of brick slips, brick slips corners or pistols and headers to achieve this believable and confident install.
The pillars and opposing walls were fixed to the wall using rapid setting adhesive and pointed with a brick pointing mortar.
London weathered yellow has a rich and diverse pallet of tones ranging from warm sandy yellows, salty whites and smokey charcoals and when blended and installed as well as this project has, the product sells its self.
In reflection the detailed use of brick slips in this interior is a reason in its self to head on down and sample the culinary delicacies that coast to coast has to offer.
An ideal setting that inspires from the word go, and thanks to our brick slips the restaurant helps to hold a theatrical and intimate atmosphere that welcomes and invites.(Larger images are available to the right side of this page)
